Diamond League 2025


The Magic Group is excited to bring you the 2025 edition of the  Diamond League in Melbourne. Following on from the success of 2024's tournament we look forward to welcoming teams, players and coaches back to an action packed three days of football in July.

Dates 

10th 11th 12th July 2025

U8 , U9 Boys - format 7v7

U10, U11, U12, U13 Boys - format 9v9

U10/11, U12/13 Girls - format 9v9

Venues 

Sydenham Park SC - U8, U9 Boys , 10/11 girls , 12/13 girls

Bentleigh Greens SC - U10, U11 Boys

Altona City SC - U12, U13 Boys 

Matchday 


  • All teams play 3 games per day (9 games in total). 
  • Each game is 2 x 15 minute halves. 
  • Team sheets will be required before competition. 
  • League positions will be determined by points, goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head, coin toss. 
  • Knockout games ending in a draw will go straight to penalties. 5 penalties each will be taken followed by sudden death if needed. 


Competition formats 


  • Grading - teams will play in initial groups to allow for a grading process during the first 3 games. 
  • Competition - following Grading, teams will move into various levels of Competition depending on the number of team entries. 
  • Finals (Rankings) - in most Competitions there will be Finals (or Ranking games) to determine final placements. 


Costs 

$ 88 per player

Teams can register an unlimited number of players.   

Presentation Trophies will be provided for the following; 


  • Team trophy for the Winners of each Competition in each age group. 
  • Team trophy for the Runners Up of each Competition in each age group. 
  • Individual player medals for the Winners of each Competition in each age group. 
  • Individual player medals for the Runners Up of each Competition in each age group. 
  • Player MVP for each age group. 


Game time information 


  • Teams will play three games per day. Games are generally played within a 3-5 hour period. For example your first game could be at 9:30am, second at 11:00am, and third at 12:30pm. 


Registration process 


  • Team coach/ manager to fill in the EOI form below. 
  • Event organisers will then contact to confirm the registration and offer any further details. Registration will be completed on our Cup Management system and the team deposit to be paid. 
  • Remaining payment, a team photo, and individual player registration must be finalised at a designated date prior to the tournament start.
